No Data Corruption & Data Integrity
See what No Data Corruption & Data Integrity is and how it could be good for the files within your web hosting account.
Data corruption is the damage of information caused by various software or hardware fails. The moment a file gets damaged, it will no longer function as it should, so an application will not start or shall give errors, a text file shall be partially or completely unreadable, an archive will be impossible to open then unpack, etc. Silent data corruption is the process of info getting damaged without any identification by the system or an administrator, that makes it a significant problem for hosting servers as failures are more likely to occur on bigger hard drives where significant volumes of info are located. If a drive is a part of a RAID and the info on it is duplicated on other drives for redundancy, it's more than likely that the bad file will be treated as an undamaged one and it will be duplicated on all drives, making the damage permanent. Lots of the file systems that operate on web servers today often are unable to recognize corrupted files in real time or they need time-consuming system checks during which the server is not functioning.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Cloud Web Hosting
We guarantee the integrity of the info uploaded in each
cloud web hosting account which is made on our cloud platform because we use the advanced ZFS file system. The aforementioned is the only one which was designed to avert silent data corruption via a unique checksum for every single file. We will store your info on multiple NVMe drives which work in a RAID, so the same files will exist on several places at once. ZFS checks the digital fingerprint of all of the files on all of the drives in real time and in case the checksum of any file differs from what it should be, the file system replaces that file with a healthy version from another drive inside the RAID. There's no other file system that uses checksums, so it's possible for data to get silently corrupted and the bad file to be duplicated on all drives with time, but since this can never happen on a server using ZFS, you will not have to worry about the integrity of your info.

No Data Corruption & Data Integrity in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you obtain one of our
semi-dedicated server packages, you will not have to worry about silent file corruption because we use ZFS - a high level file system that keeps track of all files in real time. Every time you upload a file to your web hosting account, ZFS will assign a unique digital fingerprint to it - the so-called checksum. This file will be synchronized between several NVMe drives for redundancy, so if one drive fails, the other ones will take over. ZFS compares the checksum of all the copies on the different drives and if it detects a damaged copy, it replaces it with a healthy one from a different drive. This happens right away, so there will be no threat for any part of your content at any moment. In contrast, other file systems execute checks only after a system failure, but since they don't use anything similar to the checksums that ZFS uses, they cannot detect silently corrupted files, so a corrupted copy could be replicated on the rest of the disks as well and you may lose crucial data. Since this is not the case with ZFS, we're able to guarantee the integrity of each file you upload no matter what.
